Power adapters like this either work or they don't. This one does. I bought it because I needed to clone a hard drive for a computer I was fixing and I didn't have a PSU with enough sata power connectors. I may need it in the future to upgrade the DVD drive in one of my computers. Also cheap. I would recommend this.Digital camera Review: It's a nothing part until you need it and you don't have one.

It's nice to be able to convert a single 4 pin power connection to two SATA power connections. This unit did just what I wanted and since being in use had zero problems. It seemed well made and there was no problem plugging the molex together and getting a positive power connection.Digital camera Review: Just an adapter

I got this to give some flexibility during my upcoming shuffle of some older hard drives that still have life and usefulness.
