Digital camera Review: A Great Fan

Laptops run hot When my first laptop fan broke, I went looking for a new one. I liked the fact this had one large fan.
I always read the lowest ratings first -- gives me an idea of what to look out for. However, the major complaint people had -- you cannot use it on your lap -- was not a problem for me as I use the laptop on a small desk. On the other hand, I do have to worry about objects slipping under the machine and damaging the blades. I found the cable plenty long; in fact, I plugged it in without extending it to its full length! The fan comes on when the computer comes on, same as my last fan. I'm not sure why anyone would need an on/off switch.
Pros: Great price
Very quiet -- I don't hear it at all
Does the job with no more hot air coming out the laptop's vents
USB connectors remain cool (they used to get hot)
Cons: The fan should be covered -- too easy for the blades to get damaged
Someone complained there was no lip to keep the computer from slipping off. There are four rubber pads that keep the laptop elevated and stop it from slipping.
If the fan housing even had sides to it, I'd give this 5 stars. As it is, I feel forced to give it only 4.
I actually like this fan more than my original Targus which had two fans and was completely enclosed. The noise of the fan always let me know when it was on. The only way you know the Syba is on is that your computer stays cool.
All in all, it is a very nice fan for the money.
