Digital camera reviews of TDK 16X DVD+R 100PK SpindleDigital camera Review: Awesome ! Summary: 5 Stars
I've bought my fair share of DVD'Rs - I always buy them in the 100 packs (since I use a lot) and have tried pretty much all brands... Sony HP Memorex Fuji TDK Verbatim...
I won't really do any comparison but from my experience, there wasn't anything about TDK that would make me turn away. The last set I bought was the TDK 100 DVD+R (the one for this review) and I got only 2 bad DVDs out of 100... I wouldn't say that's bad.
So far, they all seem to be about the same . Choose whichever one seems cheap at the moment.... :)
Digital camera Review: Bad discs Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered these both because of the price and because I was under the impression that TDK was a good company. Well these discs are terrible!!!. If you try to put 4 gig or more (and remember these are for 4.7 gig) on them you get a media fail error. And I have tried them on 3 different drives with the same result. After getting these I went back to here and saw a review from 2006 that said that he had major problems with them and that if you tried to use the outer part of the disc it would fail. Apparently they have not improved them since that time either. Out of say 10 discs I might get 3-4 that actually work. Even dropping the write speed down to 4x doesn't help. Avod these discs if at all possible (unless you are looking for coasters!!)
Digital camera Review: Best Buy Summary: 5 Stars
Although they are manufactured by CMC, which has a poor reputation with some folks, these are the finest 16x blank DVDs I have found for the price at Amazon. I paid $39.99 for 100 with free shipping, and have burned almost 100 with zero defects. The light gray top surface leaves as much room as possible for writing on with a marker, too (Imation DVDs, also made by CMC, are terrible in this respect, and no other brand I have tried is as good). Digital camera Review: Best I have ever used Summary: 5 Stars
TDK blank DVD's are the best I have ever used. I have used many other products, verbatim, imation, memorex, etc, but none of these work as well as the TDK brand. After burning with other brands it takes a while for them to load in the players, but with TDK they start right up. I have never had a "coaster" with TDk and cannot say that with other brands. You will be happy if you purchase these
Digital camera Review: Better Than Expected Summary: 5 Stars
Due to limitations with my computer system, burning dvds at 16X speeds often result in bad uncompleted dvds if the blanks are not of the highest quality (that includes Memorex). I usually burn at 4X and 8X in order to not create so many useless coasters. Decided to try a few of these at 16X - WOW not a single mistake yet. I'm back down to 8X with these, no use taking chances. Am impressed with the quality and better thickness and stiffness of this brand of blank dvd+r discs so far. Only downside to 100-count spindles is that they are heavier than 50-count spindles without any extra case strength.
