Digital camera reviews of TDK 4.7GB 16x DVD-R (100-Pack Spindle)Digital camera Review: Amazon does not pack properly - DVDs good but without tower casing Summary: 1 Stars
Bought a 100 DVD tower for long term at a decent price, however Amazon did not pack properly and tower (the plastic cover and black spike) were broken - I got the DVDs OK but I have no easy storage and dust protection I was assuming I was gonna get.
Would not buy online again - will pick up at a store.
Digital camera Review: Amazon doesn't know how to pack this item Summary: 1 Stars
I have no complaint with the actual item. The discs are reliable and write and read totally fine in my experience.
But Amazon fails in the way they pack this for shipment. They just throw the heavy spindle in a box with a couple of air bags. Mine arrived with the spindle part completely broken from the base and all the DVD-Rs loose in the container. Luckily the discs seem okay and I had an old intact container to transfer them to. But I was not at all happy with the insufficient way that Amazon packed these. Watch out for this.
Digital camera Review: Awesome Quality Summary: 5 Stars
I started using these because a friend recommended them and I have to say I have never had a bad burn for Data or Video. If your going to pay for a hundred DVD-R's you might as well get a hundred DVD-R's that work... and these do.
Digital camera Review: Bad experience Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased a pack of these TDK 4.7 gb discs when they were on sell, thinking that I was getting a GREAT product for a very discounted price. After spending a lot of time transferring videos to DVD, I kept finding that almost all of the discs would have an error at the very end of the burn process (meaning I would have to re-record hour long videos many times to get an actual DVD).
At first I thought the problem might be with my DVD burner (I have a Dell Inspiron 6400), but after using other branded recordable DVD's, I've come to discover that the problem lies with the DVD...
I'd love a refund, but more so than that, I'd love to have back the wasted hours trying to transfer VHS to DVD with these discs...
Digital camera Review: Best DVDs I have ever used Summary: 5 Stars
I have used several brands of blank media and have tried to avoid this TDKs becuse of a bad review posted a long time ago. Recently, and because I had no choice, I had to order some of these and found them to be the very best I have used. I burned several at 16x using a NEC ND-3540A just to see if they could stand that speed and all of them turned out very well. I am burning them at 12x now but that just to be safe.
Before trying these I had been using Verbatim but these are way better.
Oh, and the price is just the icing on the cake.
