Digital camera reviews of TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio (Includes 2x KVM Cables) TK-209K (Blue)

Digital camera Review: 2 port switcher
Summary: 4 Stars

Worked okay but I found that my system supported HDMI ports. When this switcher, resolution was limited to the VGA connection. I think this set up works well but for my purposes I have to have a HDMI 2 port switcher. No offense against product, did what was advertised, but I needed higher resolution. Quality of construction and all the wires necessary were right in the box.

Digital camera Review: 2Port USB KVM Swith Kit with Audio 2 x 4ft 1.2 M USB Kvm Cables
Summary: 5 Stars

This worked terrific when I bought a new computer and didn't have time to transfer all the files from the old one right away. Now I can use the reformatted old one for personal use and the new one for business only.

Digital camera Review: A Good Switch
Summary: 5 Stars

This little device works well. My 2 computers are: (1) Laptop running Windows XP, and (2) Desktop dual boot with Windows Vista and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. I use screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 on all the systems; the switch works fine with all. Two minor hiccups: (1) the Linux system at first wanted to drop back to 800x600, but that was resolved when I logged out and back in the first time. (2) Did not work with my old mouse, but worked great after I upgraded to a newer one. I'm very happy with it.

Digital camera Review: A good choice and a nice price!
Summary: 5 Stars

Not ready to give up my old computer with Windows XP - after purchasing a new Dell with Windows 7 - I thought I'd give this switch kit a try. Seems to work fine so far - it's been a month. A little awkward with the many cables I doubt if I will want to keep it as a permanent desktop fixture but untill I get Windows 7 doing everthing I want it to do it's fine.

Digital camera Review: A good space saver
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a 2-computer setup on a single work-desk and having 2 keyboards/mouse/monitors is a bit cumbersome. The KVM switch saves plenty of space (and money for the extra hardware you might need to hook up 2 machines together).
I did buy the one with audio ports but it is more of a hassle if you're playing music on one computer and working with the other. The audio cuts off (switches to the active computer) when you switch between the machines. This is an intended feature so no complaints; I have my audio permanently hooked up to one and that takes care of my needs.
To sum it up - a great device that saves you space and money.
