Digital camera reviews of TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit with Audio (Includes 2x KVM Cables) TK-209K (Blue)Digital camera Review: Better than the Iogear I had Summary: 5 Stars
I had an IOGEAR KVM which I had constant trouble with. For some reason, the device would go unresponsive several times a day, and the only fix was to unplug the USB connection on both PCs (the KVM derives power from either one being plugged in), and reset it. The Trendnet is far better, so far no problems, easy to switch (scroll lock twice). Highly recommend.
Digital camera Review: Blue Box Summary: 5 Stars
The box worked as stated. I was not quite sure where I was going to put the box after all the wires were conected. All four sides of the box has wires comming out and it is hard to fit it on the wall but I just put it behind the tower and used the key board to do the switching. It would have been nice if the printer could have swithhed too.
Digital camera Review: Broke After 1.5 Years Summary: 1 Stars
The port for PC 1 and one of the USB ports stopped working after only a year and a half. There not much point to a KVM switch if the PC connections don't work!
Digital camera Review: Broke in Under 2 Months Summary: 3 Stars
This USB KVM Switch worked great when it was working, but stopped working after about 1 1/2 months of daily use. What happened is the buttons that switch it from one computer to the other didn't have any effect anymore when pressed. I was very disappointed, but I didn't take the time to contact the manufacturer, so they may have done something for me, but honestly I didn't feel like fussing with it.
Digital camera Review: Bullseye! Summary: 4 Stars
After reading reviews on KVM+audio switches, I settled on this model, and I'm not sorry. The little beast hooked up with zero problems, allowing me to switch instantly between my Windows XP Pro desktop and dual-boot HP laptop running Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux. Zero problems installing, flawless performance. I'd give it five stars if not for the klutzy cable arrangement, and I would wish for a right-angle vga connector for the laptop end. Thanks, TRENDnet, and thanks to Amazon for free shipping!
