While I work alot with XLR and NL connectors, I don't often need to build an RJ-11 or RJ-45 cable (I usually buy pre-made cables), but I needed to repair a Polycom which had two cables terminating at a power supply. I decided it was time to add this crimper to my toolbox. This crimper is easy to use and should be fine for light-duty work. I couldn't figure out how to get the racket mechanism to lock the handles closed (when not in use) and the card the tool came on doesn't explain that function. This was my first time using this tool for repairing an ethernet cord. It does the job well. I had trouble with wire stripping feature. Often it would slice the inner wires and I'd have to start over. Maybe I need more practice with it. I had to crimp the plug twice quite hard to get it to fit in my router port. Not the most fun job to do, but this tool makes it easier.Digital camera Review: Good

recieved the product as ordered. I have no complaint with the company only the product. I have used another crimping tool that cut the wires as it crimped and it was much easier to build the connection. With this tool you must push the wires through the male end then cut the wires and then pull them back slightly before crimping the end. Digital camera Review: It's Tool Time

Works perfectly every time. Crimper tool was sturdy and well made. This is my first time making my own CAT5 cables. Very easy to use, a no brainer tool. Just Google for instructions on how to make your own CAT5 wires. I bought 200 ft of cable from Amazon for cheap and made enough cables to connect all my internet devices to the high speed router. A wired connection, always on, was faster and more dependable than wireless. Highly recommend this tool.
