I purchased the Tamron 18-200 for my EOS Rebel XT and I'm so happy that I chose this over the 28-200. Nice wide field of view, and plenty of zoom. Also it's a smaller lens that goes nicely with a smaller camera. For someone like me that doesn't want to carry extra lenses, I feel that this is a good choice.Digital camera Review: Great all round lens

I recently updated my camera gear and bought the Canon 350D. I have used Tamron lens for the past 20 years, always opting for a multifunctional lens in preference to carrying 3-4 lens around, particularly when travelling the world. I recently purchased this lens for use on my Canon 20D. I was never happy with the lens that came with the camera. I've been very happy with this lens.
Pros:
- Quality construction. The lens doesn't feel cheap.
- Zoom range of this lens is fantastic.
- Image quality is great.
- Internal focusing makes using filters and hoods a piece of cake
- Zoom lock is nice so the zoom ring doesn't turn while stored or carried.
- Price. For the money this lens will give you a lot of bang for the buck.
Con:
- Auto focusing is a bit slow for a moving subject.

I've been wanting to upgrade to a more versatile lens for my Canon EOS Rebel T1i that offers all-purpose shooting...wide and telephoto. I took a chance with this Tamron lens and am very pleased with its performance. Picture quality has been great and the range from 18-200 mm was just was I was looking for.
