Digital camera Review: Inexpensive but great

I purchased this presenter from a local store (sorry, Amazon) because I needed it unexpectedly same day. The selection was limited and I only needed a basic presenter, so I bought this one solely based on price and figured if it survived one day it was money well spent.
But I was surprised. It's a well-proportioned unit that has a nice rubberized finish. The USB receiver is tiny and can be stored right inside the presenter behind the battery door when not in use.
This little guy required no drivers; I just plugged the receiver into my USB port and I was flipping through PowerPoint slides like a pro right away.
I took a risk because my PowerPoint 2007 presentation was running in a virtual machine on my MacBook Pro, so technically I was using it with a Mac. The Mac recognized it as a keyboard device and everything worked perfectly in the VM. I'm not sure if this means it would work with native Mac applications like Keynote, but it certainly played nice with my PowerBook.
It's always nice to find an unexpected gem like this by accident, and I would definitely recommend this device to others.

I'm a secondary teacher and use PPTs in my daily lessons. I purchased this presenter remote and loved its size and the flexibility of moving around the room while presenting. However, it only worked for 5-6 weeks. Changed the battery, reset the USB, etc. but nothing helped. Was very disappointed when it stopped working. I replaced it with the same item, thinking it was a 'lemon,' but the same thing happpened to the 2nd one. (stopped working after a few weeks) I will definitely purchase another presentation remote--a model from a different manufacturer--but this time I'll look more closely at consumer reviews.Digital camera Review: Targus Wireless Presenter w/ Laser Pointer

Worked great until it died. The pointer just stopped communicating with the USB dongle..... tried resetting the unit and replacing the battery... nothing worked.
