Digital camera reviews of Targus CityGear 320 Capacity CD/DVD Album Case TDP019US (Black with Grey Contrasting)Digital camera Review: It Is Fine for our Purposes Summary: 3 Stars
This works just fine. It hold a lot of DVDs. It's kind of tricky to zip but it's not that big of a deal.
Digital camera Review: It helps!! Summary: 4 Stars
when you have as many DVDs as I do, you need this to help out.
Digital camera Review: It holds everything Summary: 5 Stars
I couldn't believe that it would hold all my discs, but I filled up one of them and most of another one. They fit nicely on a shelf. Very high quality. I didn't even know I had that many discs!
Digital camera Review: It looks cool, holds a lot but is difficult to use Summary: 3 Stars
I recently purchased this item from amazon.com and was super happy with the sheer number of DVDs this case would hold and the way it looked. However, after filling about half full and using it for a couple of weeks am not as excited. The DVDs don't fit all the way into each sleeve and easily slide out if moved. Also, the zipper is very annoying to use as I can barely get it started to close up - it takes me a couple of minutes instead of a couple of seconds. Perhaps when I fill the album all the way this will work better, however that won't change the fact that my movies are falling out of the sleeves. :-( I would try another brand or a smaller item before purchasing this one again.
Digital camera Review: It's better than nothing Summary: 3 Stars
We had a huge pile of DVDs and CDs so we bought a case. It IS much more compact that keeping each disc in a jewel box, but it has disadvantages.
(1) The main one is that if the discs are organized (we tried to alphabetize them), once they are put in place, nothing can be added. If they are not individually organized, they would be impossible to find without additional tabs or markers of some sort, but there is no real room in the case to add them. A looseleaf binder would be better.
(2) The plastic holders have little flaps to keep the discs in place, but they are not easy to flip over the disc and we had to use makeshift tools to do so.
(3) If the case is relatively full, it is hard to zip closed.
(4) Also the pages seem flimsy and when filled, sag or lean out of the case when it is opened. The case has to be opened and closed and the pages turned very slowly and carefully.
So in sum, if you are dealing with a changing set of discs, don't get this. And if you get it, don't fill it too full. Eight discs to a page (four on each side) makes the page too heavy and seemingly fragile. I don't have a good solution to the problem of storing a large varying number of discs, and perhaps--except for a looseleaf arrangement where pages could be added in the middle so that not too may discs have to be moved and blank spaces can be left--this is the most compact way of storing that I can think of.
