Back - pack is fair for the price. Strap between two side straps (rides across shoulders) is pretty good. Padding is a bit deficient in nature and is not ergonomic Friendly. Would have liked a better choice of color, think I had ordered what I thought was a blue and received a black. Whatever, it was for one of my teenagers so I really did not get too bent out of shape about it.Digital camera Review: Backpack works for me.

Very well made backpack. Protects my laptop for travel. Could have a little more padding around the laptop, but it works for me. Lots of pockets for accessories. I liked this bag very much. Sufficient space to keep my laptop (15'') and carry my books to school. I even use this for 2 day trip. Its a multipurpose bag. Worth buying. But its common and may people have it. So beware of getting it misplaced or exchanged.Digital camera Review: Best bag ever owned

I have been using this bag for over 2 1/2 years and I can't believe how durable and reliable it has been. I use it with my 17 inch HP laptop, and drag it around a Marine Corp base working in server closets. It can handle any abuse I put it through. It has many convienent pockets to carry my network cables and supplies. The zippers work well, however one recently broke and I am having to RMA it to Targus. There is a lifetime warrany on their products. Targus customer support is great, and without question or documentation, were willing to repair or replace my backpack and no charge. I am very happy with the Targus backpack I ordered for my laptop. I am unsure why some people complained it was almost too small for their 15" laptops because it fits my 15.4" just fine. It also has plenty of space for textbooks and other odds and ends I always find myself carrying.
When I first saw the backpack I was worried about how well it would fit me since I have a small frame, but it wasn't a problem. It is probably the most comfortable backpack I've ever owned. It also seems well-designed for keeping your investment (laptop) safe. The pocket built for holding it is well padded and there is enough inner padding to keep anything else from banging around against your computer as well as the protection from general outer mishaps.
This backpack isn't what someone who prefers style might chose, but for functionality it is perfect. I would suggest it for students or people who commute to a job that doesn't require the executive attache' look. If you are debating between this model and a shoulder bag, I would go with the backpack. If you know you'll be doing much walking or standing this bag is ideal since the weight of the backpack is distributed on your whole back as opposed to one shoulder IE: none of that odd over-balanced feeling on one side of your body.
