This backpack is a spacious option for those who are frequently on the go but prefer a backpack over the messenger style bag. The notebook slot is perfect for a 14" notebook, and has plenty of pretection featuers including a padded slot and a water resistant bottom. My only complaint is that the pen holders in the small front packet are a little awkwardly placed. I was leary about buying a backpack online. I am rather picky about looks and how much it would hold. I just recently bought a laptop and I need to carry it between home and school. I did not want to carry a bookbag and a laptop case, so I looked into the laptop bookbags. In the stores, I could only find them for 50-90 dollars. That was not in my budget range and I decided to try online.
For 25 dollars, this backpack is as good as any other you will find for 70. It is roomy and holds all my books plus my laptop.
I would recommend this to anyone who needs a bookbag with a laptop holder who is on a tight budget like myself.

Its funny that some people don't have enough common sense to not stand in the rain. The backpack isn't waterproof, true, but then again, not many are. The best protection is to get a umbrella. Duh. The Targus notebook backpack is well made. It has zillions of pockets for books, pens, CD's, etc. The inside of the backpack has good padding for my notebook and fits very snuggly. I've had the Targus for a couple of months now and I am very pleased with it. It is very affordable and loaded with features.Digital camera Review: Durable and convenient at airports

I have owned this back pack for over three years. I use it primarily for traveling. I find that getting the lap top in and out of this bag at security check points much easier than other bags I use (for a second lap top). There is plenty of room in this bag for storing essential for both this computer and other electronic items I tend to drag around.
I have used it to transport an older HP 15.4 (fit was rather snug but still easy to get in and out) and a newer HP 14.1. With both laptops I felt the computer was well protected in the bag and I have never had any problems with items being damaged while in the bag.
The many pockets add a great way to organize all the little things. There are also several large pockets allowing for those bigger items as well.
