Digital camera Review: 18.4 Toshiba's DO fit in this bag!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just purchased one of the new 18.4" widescreen Toshiba laptops, and I had a really hard time finding a backpack to fit this monster. I read the reviews here, and a few reviewers said that it would fit in this bag. Every other 17" bag I tried, the laptop stuck out the top. So I gambled and ordered this one.

I'm worried about protecting the screen, so while I was at a local computer retailer, I found an 18" Case Logic sleeve that fits this laptop like a glove. When the bag arrived today, the first thing I did was slide the laptop in the sleeve, and then put it into the bag. The 18.4" Toshiba laptop fits in the bag with the sleeve on - but just barely.

The bag seems solidly built, and to me, it doesn't seem too big. I have another laptop bag - a 15" Rack Gear bag, and that one is definately wider and fatter. This one is smaller in every dimension except height. It has plenty of room for a laptop, peripherals, a few books, even a change of clothes. As long as it's not overloaded, it should also make it through airport security without a problem. It probably won't fit under the seat, but it'll definately fit in the overhead compartments on commercial airliners.

Like others, I wasn't sure about the exposed pockets under the flap, but now after seeing it, it actually makes sense to me. It works perfect for a pair of shoes or other item you may want to keep separate from the contents inside the bag. The flap itself has numerous zippered pockets, perfect for smaller items (pens, flash drives, etc).

It's not as solid and padded as my 15" Rack Gear or our 17" Swiss Gear laptop backpacks, but those companies offer "bulletproof" bags, and neither of them offer a bag large enough for the 18.4" laptops. For those of you who are looking for a laptop/overnight bag and own one of the new monster Toshibas, this one is perfect.

Digital camera Review: 2nd Targus Bag
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my second Targus bag and it has been great for me. I had my first for 3 years and even when I got rid of it, it wasn't in that bad of shape. I just felt like getting something different and went with a bag from Bugout. I kept that bag for only a few months and quickly realized how bad I missed my Targus bag and wished I'd kept it so I decided to order a new one. The bag itself is very sturdy and stable. I really like the way it sits up on its own without having to lean up against anything. My old Bugout bag used to fall over with my laptop inside if I didn't prop it up against anything and I hated that. It took a few falls before it became second nature for me to always prop it when my laptop was inside. The side netting pocket on my new Targus bag broke, but I still give it 5 stars with only 4 in construction. I think I just have a fluke because my first had not a single problem, not even after 3 years of me dragging it around the world. Great product. Recommend to all. It carries my 14 pound, 17 inch, Alienware laptop with ease and the straps make it incredibly comfortable on my back.

Digital camera Review: 6 OUT OF 5 STARS!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

It is holding my 17 inch HP Pavilion desktop replacement with no problem. PLENTY of room for the textbooks, notebooks, and binders that are to come in the fall. I should have gotten this backpack in high school. It is extremely durable and made of great materials. There is padding all throughout the bag protecting your electronics while at the same time making it very comfortable to wear. I will be living in the city, so I was concerned about it getting stolen or me getting mugged. To my delight, you cannot tell that there is a computer in the bag, and it doesnt make me look like a geeky engineering major. In response to what the other reviewers said about the pockets, I appreciate how many there are. In fact, I wish it had 1 or 2 more for a digital camera and a mouse (You can still fit both of those in the bag, but it would be nicer if they had dedicated pockets for them). I have been shopping for a while for a laptop backpack that would suit all my needs for the 5 year undergraduate program I am about to begin. This bookbag has all the particular details I was asking for, and more. BUY THIS BAG. =D

Digital camera Review: A Carry all Backpack!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the second one that I have owned and it is a great backpack. I am a field technician in Chicago and this backpack carries everything I need to do my job, i.e. tools and parts. It is very durable for what I put it through, it takes a good beating. Eventually this one will get destroyed like my last one but when you carry anywhere from 40 to 60 pounds in it and the parts I carry have sharp ends that will cut it up I can't complain. I plan on purchasing another pack just like this one and for regular use it should last you a long time. As a matter of fact I better purchase it now before they discontinue it and I would hate to have to use anything else, which I have tried before and none have compared to this one.

Digital camera Review: A big bag enough to hold everything
Summary: 4 Stars

Since I carry a few books, files and a lunch box in a bag, I need a big one. (Most of the university text books are so large)
This bag can hold what I need.
