We purchased this product for our Parents who travel a lot. We were excited about the reviews and the product and thought that it would be a great Christmas Gift. It didn't work at all. 4 different people tried several times to read the instructions and weigh the luggage but the scale kept reading 28lbs. When the luggage was weighed at the airport it was 51lbs. I must have gotten a bad product judging from the reviews. We didn't get a chance to use the scale until February and by then it was too late to return the product. What a shame.Digital camera Review: Digital Luggage Scale

Sleek design and easy to use. The product weighs almost nothing and can be packed comfortably to take with you on holiday. However it is not so easy to lift a suitcase weighing more than 40 pounds off the ground in order to weigh it and the result is less accurate. We weighed the same case several times and got different answers. It has to be lifted with one hand and kept still while the scale calculates (10 seconds) and that wasn't easy. Be warned. With smaller bags the result we registered with this product was identical to the weight registered at airport check-in. Purchased 2 of the Taylor #8120 Digial Luggage Scale - one for me and one for my son & DIL. I got caught on a return from Hawaii with an over weight bag - cost $80! Decided it would NEVER happen again.
This product has been true to weight - as I weigh luggage with it before heading to the airport - and so far both scales have been in agreement with the airport weigh-in for luggage.

I purchased this last January before a family ski trip. Since then I have checked over 25 bags that were loaded to the max on various family trips. It has not been wrong yet. I keep it in my carry on in the airplane whenever I travel and need to wory about the max weight. Very durable and accurate.
