I bought the Taylor Luggage Scale from Amazon.com as a gift for my husband who travels frequently. I was tired to see him deal with and depend upon the bathroom scale, which is a bit inadequate and also not very exact. The Taylor digital scale is very easy to use and very exact. He discovered that a piece of luggage he bought recently is almost 20 pounds, one half of what most airlines allow nowdays, so he changed it for a lighter one to be able to pack more. It is a good idea to carry this scale with you if you need to buy new luggage, it will help making a decision based also on weight besides other features. We added known amount of weight inside a luggage, such as 3 and 5 pounds, from exercise weights to packs of sugar, and the Taylor scale picked up the total weight (luggage + extra weight) exactly. Another great feature is that the scale is inconspicuous and very light, so it can be taken along on a trip. We have not had it for a long time, yet, therefore no words on how long it lasts.Digital camera Review: Excellent

Its an excellent product. Very useful especially now when the airlines have become very strict in enforcing the weight limit.
Its pretty accurate. The weight that this scale gives is pretty much identical to what I have got at the airline counter. Also, its light enough that I could pack it in one of my bags and use it to weigh while coming back from my vacation to home.
Pretty easy to use and also it can be used to measure in both pounds and kgs, which is very handy when you are traveling to Europe and Asia.

This is an excellent buy which will pay for itself in one trip. In the past I had to, at the airport, trash things that I was carrying because the excess baggage fee was not worth it. Recently I could easily manage to accurately fit by doing a couple of iterations of moving things between bags. Earlier I used to carry the bag and stand on a personal bathroom weigh scale and then deduct my weight, but this is so much more convenient, and of course, accurate as it is digital and provides weights to 0.1 kg or lb
The only problem is that you need to note down the battery polarity as that is not specified on the product. Also, since this will not be used too often it is better to take out the battery and refit it when you want to travel (of course with correct polarity of + and -)
