Took me many times to get this remote programmed to use on a Vizio. After that, it worked great. Especially for my mother that is sight impaired. This is the only remote she uses now. My father has gotten a little forgetful in his elder years and has developed a bad habit of pushing tv remote buttons that he shouldn't. My mother was having to reprogram the tv remote many times daily, which was adding to her already high frustration level, which was adding to my frustration level.
This remote is a great solution! Not only is it large enough for him to be able to easily hold and see, it only has basic functionality buttons, none of which affect tv setup. My mother no longer has to reprogram the tv remote many times daily and is ecstatic about it. So am I! ;)
The only thing I don't like about this remote is that it does not include a number pad so you can push in the channel number, you have to navigate channel by channel using the CH+ and CH- buttons. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing!

This remote control that I purchased for my mom works excellently. She has Macular Degeneration and can not see very well close up. I needed to find her a remote that was easy to use and not confusing for her. This remote has only 6 buttons that light up. It is easy to use and works so well. I bought this for my mother for her TV in a nursing home. It is simple to program and to use. It worked great with the Toshiba TV there. I typed the programming instructions and printed them to a small piece of paper that I taped to the inside of the battery cover for future use.
