This product doesn't work with all HDMI devices, at least, I think it doesn't because after 45 minutes of waiting on the phone for tech support from Audiovox, I had processed returning the device. I would never recommend purchasing this device or anything else from Audiovox. The resonse time for tech support was totally unacceptable especiall when after about 17 minutes of waiting, a tech rep answered and immediately put be back on hold which then put at the end of the line of calls received. Somehow I missed that this was an Audiovox product. Had I seen that, I never would have purchased it since most of what they make is junk.Digital camera Review: Doesn't work with everyone

I bought the Terk HDMI Switch to hook up my Direct TV box and my LG DVD player to my TV. It would only work with the Direct TV. I couldn't get the LG to show up on my tv while hooked up to the switch (manual or auto). It seems to do its auto switching thing just fine, but passes no picture from my Dish Network HD DVR. It also seems to screw up the DVR, forcing me to power-cycle. I think the switcher is basically a good product, but with reviews here stating a simlar experience with DirectTV DVRs, it seems like they are missing something that makes up a lot of their target audience. I bought this through amazon and used to connect it to my PS3 DVD and TV (all Sony products. After a month the picture became snowy and it no longer switches automatically. I had to send it back to Audiovox through UPS ($14) because they will not accept it through regular mail. (Audiovox owns Terk. They recieved the switch Jan 22, 2008 and untill now they have not sent me a replacement. Called them several times, first they don't know why I have not received a replacement, 2nd they cannot find in their system if the replacement was sent, 3rd they said it was on back order and will send it in April. It's been 2 months!!!! DON'T BUY ANY AUDIOVOX PRODUCTS, THEY ARE WORTHLESS!!!Digital camera Review: Excellent product at an affordable price, auto switch option is the best.

We have an older style projection HD tv with only one HDMI input. Since I got an HDMI cable I been really surprised at the difference in quality and it had became a pain switching back and forth the HDMI cable. I decided this product would work best with the automatic switching and I was right. It does not recognize when the cable box goes off but it does with our PS3 so that you can switch to it as soon as you put it on. I have the unit on top of the tv so anytime I might want to switch manually it is still 20 times easier than moving an HDMI cable. You can manually switch while it is on auto mode or put in manual mode to avoid auto switching. Very pleased with this product and recommend to anyone who is wondering if this is the right one for them. Do you really want another remote control?
