Digital camera reviews of Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified High-Definition Antenna for Off-Air HDTV ReceptionDigital camera Review: 50/50 Summary: 3 Stars
The antenna arrived quickly and in good condition; great seller. However, the products down falls are its bulky and I get choppy signals. I expected the reception to be better considering the size of the thing. This is my first time using this type of antenna on my HDTV though. I am used to having cable.

I was faced with a dilema when Television switched to digital. I have several
T.V's that needed an antenna to recieve the digital signal, as they aren't hooked up to cable or satellite. I went trial and error with several T.V. antennas to try and get all the available channels. I finally gave the Terk a try because I wasn't satisfied with all the other indoor antennas I bought and took back after they failed to perform as billed. I gave the Terk a try and I was really pleased with the reception my T.V's got with it and I got all the available channels in my area. This was the best choice for me short of putting up an outdoor antenna. It looks weird and takes a little getting use to sitting on the set but it works and works well. Get ready for "what's that" from your family and friends if you purchase it. The land in my area is relatively flat but has lots of tall trees and other obstructions that don't seem to interfere with the reception. The nearest signal transmitter is at least 25 miles away and the furthest is at least 45-50 miles away from my home. I recommend it to those of us who has more T.V's than cable or satellite connections in our homes.
Digital camera Review: 90% Signal Strength for UHF/ 0% Signal Strength for VHF Summary: 4 Stars
I live 15 miles from the local TV towers in Oklahoma City. With this antenna (even with the VHF dipoles all the way extended horizontally), I get 90% signal strength for ALL the UHF HDTV channels, but I get 0% signal strength for ALL VHF HDTV channels. Unfortunately, that means I can't get ABC since my local station that carries ABC is a VHF station. Darn it.
Digital camera Review: A 50+ year old lady can hook this up!! Summary: 5 Stars
Great product. I live in Panama City Beach, FL. We have Dish with locals, but we never were able to get CBS in Dothan. That was such a disappointment, since we love CSI Miami.
I got this tonight; opened the box, and hooked it up to my "antenna in" outlet on my Dish receiver. Set it on top of my LCD TV. Went online to find out where my tower was for CBS. Pointed it in that direction. Went to Dish set up...local channels, and scanned. It picked CBS in Dothan with no problem. I am impressed, since Dothan is about 50 miles from my house. The reception is HDTV quality. Piece of cake!!
Digital camera Review: A Good Antenna Summary: 4 Stars
Well, the antenna works, but so did the one before it.I purchased it mainly because of the reviews and to see if it would grab those weaker station signals being dropped because of stronger ones. This it did not do. The price is a deal,it sells for $73.99 at Best Buy. Remember, what works for some, will not for others.Your location, terrain, etc.,really matters. If you live in a mobile home, you MUST place antenna in front of a window aimed in general direction of station. It's hard for digital signals to pass through metal siding and foil insulation. You're waisting your time if placed anywhere else. If need be, buy longer cable that allows you to place antenna in front of window. All in all, I'm satisfied with purchase. It will not hurt to try it,,it may be just your ticket!!
