The antenna is very easy to install. It comes with a U/V combiner that is helpful with old models. The pictures are quite clear with rare snows. It works well with the converter box. I bought this antenna two years ago and used it to watch local stations on my tube TV. I recently upgrade to a 40' flat screen HDTV and got a satellite dish. I have many HD channels now, but my local stations are only broadcast in standard definition. I was very disappointed about that and decided to hook up this antenna to my HDTV, and surprise, I get my local stations in HD over the air now, and the signal is just as good (I would almost say better) as any of the HD channels I get with my satellite dish! Digital camera Review: BETTER THAN OLD RABBIT EARS

This gives a slightly better signal than my old rabbit ears. I give it 5 stars because the signal is maintained consistently with all the channels I receive. I can't get any more channels than I got before, but the same channels all have a stronger signal and I don't need to do any adjusting if I change the channel. I recommend this for those who do not have high expectations but just want a slightly better signal. For the price it is definitely worth it.
ADDITION: It turns out that I do get one channel that I didn't get before.

As "rabbit ear" antennas go this is most likely one of the best built I've ever seen. The base is heavy enough to make-up a littlebit for being so narrow. If space is an issue this is a good choice for a basic antenna. The reception is mediocre and a bit inconsistant. I've tuned in Digital and analog signals with this antenna. Compared to other passive antennas I'f used it seemed that this one required more "fussing about" to get things tuned in at all three locations where I tried it.
If you're not more the 10 miles or so from your source and you don't mind fiddling with the antenna for each station you want to tune in this is a well-built choice for an execptionally simple antenna.
