I purchased this hoping it would be an improvement over my existing rabbit ears for a new ATSC TV I have in a guest bedroom. It was no better, in fact they were worse than the GE Model TV24734 that I purchased at a big box department store. Some stations that I could coax a picture out of with the GE's I cannot with the TERK TV-1's. So either the TV-1 is just not that good or the GE is better than I thought. If you want to receive free digital local channels for your new high end flat screen, you don't need a $200 antenna. This $9.99 one does the trick and does it well.
Gets about 30 digital channels free. A co-worker also bought a new tv, but he went the extra mile and bought a $50 fancy antenna, took him hours to setup only to find out it doesn't work well. This one took a total of 30 seconds to setup, pull out of box, stick in cable, done. HD Digital TV is ready for your enjoyment absolutely free.
At the bargain price of $9.99, do not pass up this great deal.

We bought this antenna several months ago. We set up the rabbit ears but didn't have a place to connect the UHF loop. We were a little disappointed that we were only getting 2 channels. But college football bowl week motivated us to find a solution. My husband looked online at the product manual for our tv and discovered the solution was quite simple. All we had to do to get more channels was push the menu button on our remote then change the "tuning source" to "air" or "antenna". Boom instant Fiesta Bowl. got this retro tv antenna to hook up with the DTV box subsidized by the federal government. I'm living in New York City, notorious for bad reception - often even WITH cable...so I'm happy to report that this little aerial does its job and I'm getting all the local tv channels now clear as can be. Bye bye cable bill :-)
