This gives a slightly better signal than my old rabbit ears. I give it 5 stars because the signal is maintained consistently with all the channels I receive. I can't get any more channels than I got before, but the same channels all have a stronger signal and I don't need to do any adjusting if I change the channel. I recommend this for those who do not have high expectations but just want a slightly better signal. For the price it is definitely worth it.
ADDITION: It turns out that I do get one channel that I didn't get before.

Purchased this antenna to replace one with poor reception(others were rabbit ears with built in Uhf antenna hoop). The antenna came with an adapter for cable connection hookup and a hoop Uhf attenna I can't use. The Uhf antenna turns out to be unecessary as the Terk Tv1 antenna gets much better reception than the old antenna with a Magnavox digital converter box. I am able to pick up channels I couldn't before, as said in reviews by others. Very glad I purchased this product.Digital camera Review: Decent cheap antenna

Overall I am impressed with the antenna, it does a better job than some of the 20-50 dollar range indoor antenna's and its better built than the $30 Zenith antenna I got.
I did hitch this up to an amp to see if it would improve it any, and I really didn't notice much difference between reception with or without the amp. Later on my zenith one bit the dust (fell off the TV due to stomping kids), so I bought another one of these.

got this retro tv antenna to hook up with the DTV box subsidized by the federal government. I'm living in New York City, notorious for bad reception - often even WITH cable...so I'm happy to report that this little aerial does its job and I'm getting all the local tv channels now clear as can be. Bye bye cable bill :-)
