Old version (working with black serial port cable) has program editor. Writing programs with tiny screen and non-qwerty keyboard is extremely slow. With old cable/software it was possble to write and edit programs on PC and downlaod programs to the calculato. No more.
I am still keeping old machine with serial port and using black cable. New cable/software is few steps backward

This cable is already available if you order a TI Voyage 200. Amazon's website gives you a "combined" price for Voyage 200 and this cable - which could be characterized as deceptive practice. When you order the "combo", Amazon ships Voyage 200 (which already includes the cable)from one vendor, and charges you for shipping; and then ships a separate cable from another vendor and charges you again for shipping. I am hoping I can return this at Amazon's cost and recover my second shipping cost as well. When I look at the reviews in Amazon.com now, it seems that Amazon has been engaged in this seemingly deceptive practice since 2005Digital camera Review: Dispensable

This Cable is Great!! I have a Ti-83 and Windows 7 and it works great!! Good for transferring Programs, games, etc.
