Pro: all the financial functionalities as advertised.
Con: you have to PRESS THE KEYS VERY HARD. This is not as small a problem as it sounds. With TI's graphing calculators the keys are much softer. With this one it's incredibly easy to miss a digit or two when you're trying to key in numbers quickly, oh say during an exam. I can't even describe how frustrating it is in the middle of a long string of calculations I realize the stupid decimal point didn't register.
If this weren't required for the CFA exam I never would have paid money for this piece of crap. Unless you need it for the same reason (or have muscular fingers I guess) there are calculators both lower and higher end that get you what you want without the ridiculous keys.

This calculator is a good calculator. I do have problems with the financial functions, as I'm moving along in my studies. I find that if I use the "CPT" method of finding Annuities payments, I don't always get the same answer that I would get if I plug the numbers into a formula. I'm not sure if I'm entering the numbers wrong or what, but the answers are always slighty off.Digital camera Review: BA II Plus Professional

I admire the BA II Plus Professional, though I do get annoyed of some of the button placement as I'm used to the TI-83 but it's not too hard to get used to. Very useful for Time Value of Money Functions and especially if you're using it for the CFA Examinations. I'd recommend it. The plus side is that it can calculate the Discounted Payback Period (DPB) where the TI BA Plus cannot, the last thing you need is more algebra on a test like the CFA.Digital camera Review: BA II Plus Professional Finance Calculator

The calculator looked brand new in it's package, but certain functions and buttons did not work. I'm very displeased with this purchase and very frustrated because I needed this calculator for a test tomorrow and now I have to go find another one somewhere else. This has been a very bad experience for me and I'm making sure that I never have to order anything online again. I suggest to anyone just to buy what you can without having to purchase anything online at all.
