Digital camera Review: Best Calculator I've ever owned

Got me a 5 on the AP BC Calc Exam. Thank you TI. This calculator is a must have for high school and college. I now have friends come over to my dorm room simply to use my TI-89 on the homework. (It's also fun to play Street Fighter II over the link in the back of calculus class). You should definately get this calculator.Digital camera Review: Best Graphing Calc Out There

Don't let the 92's name affect your opinion of the 89. The keyboard is useless and geometry isn't that helpful unless your taking an advanced geometry course (post-High School). Well, with those features removed and the price dropped, this 89 is all that you will ever need. Don't get too addicted to it however; you've got to spend the time actually SOLVING the equations once in awhile. It becomes very easy to become over-dependant on the calculator, so you have to gauge yourself every once in awhile. It's a good thing my Advanced Algebra + Functions teacher never let me use this mini-computer on any of his tests or quizzes. I'd be the first one finished but I'd never have the steps to prove I'd actually done it!
In Honors Pre Calc I actually get to use this, and most of my class has 82s or 83s, so they're stuck factoring and all that tedious stuff while I'm playing Tetris (the version that actually moves when you press the keys).
Games on this calc are phenomenal. There's a version of Final Fantasy 7 and of Street Fighter that are great! They take up lots of memory, but they show off the power of this calc quite conspicuously. Every website on TI-89 games has a large variety games...THEY'RE FREE!
Though the calculator is still a little expensive, it is a must-buy for high school honors math.

This calcultor is the best mathimatical instrument I have ever owned. The calculations it is able to do is amazing as well as the graphing, especially 3D. This calcultor is great for advanced algebra due to the built in algebra engine. This calculator also saves me from years of being bored, programming. The programming is really fun and very usefull as well as a savior from math class. This calculator is very complecated. You are able to use it without much effort, however, in order to exploit its full capabilities you must read the manual faily well, but its well worth it.Digital camera Review: Best calculator ever

The TI-89 is the oldest piece of technology that I still use; I've had mine for almost 7 years, and has always exceeded my expectations. From high school algebra to advanced calculus and engineering classes, it's always been handy. The interface is very usable, pretty print is great, the programming is very convenient. Even with tools like MATLAB and Mathematica available, I still find myself preferring the 89 for certain functions. I had an HP48GX but it is no match for what the TI89 can do. I am a college student and I have benefited from this powerful calculator. I highly recommend you buy this calculator. However, do shop around because you can find it for less (even without the shipping).
