Digital camera Review: Best calculator in the world other than the TI 92 or TI 92 P

I think this is the best calculator in the world besides the TI 92 and the TI 92 Plus. The reason I have purchased this calculator because my advisor in college recommended this calculator. I like it because I don't have to use up 1/4 of my desk space to use a "legal cheat sheet". To all the people who had this calculator banned from college, "BLABBER MOUTHS!" But anyway, I wouldn't trade this calculator for anything, not even a million bucks, and it is worth every penny.Digital camera Review: Best for who wants to use it the best

the TI-89 can do exactly what u can do on the paper....writing equations in the same format u write in the paper.....but that isnt really the point....althought the TI-89 may let u feel that math is too easy....it really requires u to have a background already...for example...i start using my TI-89 after i have learned integration with all its kinds...(ie from byparts reaching triple integration)....this way i masterd all the TI-89 major functions...i use it in every subject...from thermo dynamics to physics...to material and fields....simply i take it every where with me!!
it is a must have for already masters of subjects....since it only saves time...but masters can do without it....if u are willing to buy it just to help u out and depend on it...i suggest u go back to books.....

I used to have a HP-48GX and but I sold it thiking I wouldnt need it anymore.I ended up needing a powerful calculator again. I considered HP49G but it seems to be an exception to the high quality of HP calculators, not to mention the fact that HP's calculator division was closed.
This baby (TI-89) is FAST!, I can say its way faster than my old HP, specially when dealing with a big matrix or table.
I'm also very happy because I can program it in C. (The C compiler is offered from a 3rd party but its easy to find and install).
I don't think I'm selling this one soon.

I got this as a junior in high school. I'm now a junior at one of the service academies. I think I've had to replace the batteries once in that 4 year time frame. I am an operations research major (read applied math...), and this calculator has absolutely everything needed for any technical major. Being able to integrate is real helpful when you want to prove something works to yourself, or just check your work. The 3-d graphing is also amazing. I used to have all the games on it, and they work fine. Don't get this to pass time in class... a palm pilot has better apps. If you have any aspirations of being an engineer or math major, this calc will help tremendously. Definately worthy of your hard earned $$.Digital camera Review: Better than expected

This has all of the basic functions any college or high school students may need in schooling. Also it has a variety of functions that help tackle difficult math problems. Shipping from Amazon came in 2 days after purchase!
