I have owned my Voyage 200 for several years now and use it for all sorts of things, from managing my investment portfolio to analyzing engineering data. This is a great calculator until the day comes that you have to update the operating system. I have been forced to update each time I have added a new application to the calculator, as new applications won't run without the latest version of the operating system. The update involves wiping out everything you happen to have saved in memory: programs, data, applications - everything. TI supplies an archaic software program to load the operating system and applications. It brings back memories of the 1980's when using a computer really did require a computer scientist. With enough time, effort and preplanning, it is possible to save your data and actually get it back onto the calculator close to the way it was to start with, but make sure you have plenty of time and patience pills.
With that said, this is still the best top of the line calculator there is.

This calculator is an absolute marvel, but be aware that you cannot use it on standardized tests and some teachers may not allow you to use it. The functionality is somewhat greater than a TI-89 and the screen and ergonomics are certainly improvements.This calculator will handle most analytical problems encountered through and including differential equations. About the only thing it won't do is proofs! If you are in science or mathematics or are a student taking those classes in high school or college, purchasing this calculator will save you an enormous amount of time and, if used wisely, give you better grades.
The only drawback, as mentioned, is that some teachers and all standardized tests will not allow you to use it during testing. If you want to do better on tests, buy the TI-89. If you want an excellent learning tool, buy this calculator.
