Digital camera reviews of Texas Instruments Voyage 200 CalculatorDigital camera Review: Most Awsome Calculator Ever Summary: 5 Stars
This calculator does everyting the TI 89 and TI 92 do, and more. this calculator is idea for Multivariable Calculus. when you draw a 3d graph on this calculator you can actually tell wat your looking at, unlike the TI 89 and 92.
Digital camera Review: My second brain Summary: 5 Stars
The TI Voyage 200 has been an indispensable companion during my studies in Electrical Engineering. Ample on-board RAM allows me to download free and purchased applications without fear of having to delete a less-used application in the process. Battery life is more than adequate, although in order to ease my mind during backup of data and downloading applications, I place new AAA batteries in the unit just in case. A word of caution though! The instructions say explicitly to do a backup of your loaded applications BEFORE downloading a newer version of software. I failed to do that early on and paid the price of a laborious search and recovery later on. Downloading newer software versions wipes the system clean. For the Engineer, Math Major or Teacher, the Voyage 200 has plenty of available applications on-line. Most of them are free to the user. The Graphics display is accommodating, and additional hardware is available for purchase that will enable projection of the contents of the display for a classroom environment.
Digital camera Review: NOT for new users!! Summary: 2 Stars
A calculator so sophisticated with the worst display they could use. With the actual LCD displays, sensitive screens and rechargeable NiCd batteries, is out of my understanding why TI still uses this kind of display. Even cell phones have better displays to insert and show data. The contrast is not good enough and if you are under a filament lamp you can see the numbers with a ghost (two times the screen, due the shadow). If you use a notebook, cell phone and digital camera daily, you will not like this product. The resolution is not so good for the "textbook like" and to the "Advanced Large Screen Graphing" slogan.
The pdf documentation is bad too, since I CANNOT PRINT the necessary pages.
Digital camera Review: On a voyage. Summary: 4 Stars
I've had this calculator for a year and a half and I must say it has served me well. Unfortunately, it just pooped out on me. I tried to use it one morning and it would not come on. All it did since the last time I used it was sit on my desk. No drops or anything. I changed batteries and tried all the troubleshooting suggestions on TI's website. Still nothing. I'm still waiting for a response to my emails that I sent two days ago to the TI Cares support.
This thing was great while it lasted but now it looks like I'll have to get another one or maybe that newfangled TI-89 Titanium with the keyboard attachment.
Digital camera Review: Paper Manual Summary: 5 Stars
Basically I have nothing to add to the reviews except to say something to those who want a paper manual. You can purchase the manual for the TI 92 plus on line from TI or eBay. This is basically the same machine insofar as using the manual. I have both machines and the 92+ manual works with this calculator just as well.
