As others have written this is the absolute best Koozie type gadget on the market. It it made of durable metal with an insulating space of air between the inner and outer walls (just like Thermos bottles).
I took one of these on a trip to see my Dr 3 hours away. A water bottle I took had some ice mixed in with the water. When I returned from the trip, a good 10 hours later the ice had not melted and the water was as cold as it was out of the fridge.
I've found for around the home the Vacu Vin can holders work better as they add a bit of cold to an already cold drinkVacu Vin Rapid Ice Silver Can Chillers, Set of 2 But for out of the house applications or at work, etc. the Thermos holder is the absolute Rolls Royce of can insulators (and priced like a Rolls). Vacu Vin loses its cool a lot faster, but initially is colder.
They should last forever unless left outside to allow to rust.
