I wanted to protect my Canon f1.8 lens for my Canon XSi. I had no problems attaching it this filter (as some reviewers have noted). This feels like a substantial lens and because it is multi-coated it works great. I bought this for my Sony A300k's two lens. It did it's job: protect the lens from dust, finger prints and reflected some of the UV.
For the price, what more can you expect?
