Digital camera Review: Does it's job....keeps the front element safe!

I bought this for my Nikon 70-300 VR lens and it works just as it should. It keeps the front of my lens safe from impact while not interfering with any of the lens or camera functions. I have bought 5 of these filters; 1 x 52mm, 4 x 58mm and now the 67mm. They do exactly as intended; protect your lens.
I haven't noticed it affecting image quality in day to day use, but on a couple of night time trips have noticed lights ghosting/doubling on photos which have disappeared when the filter is removed. Am not sure if this happens with other brands as well.
Overall, a good price for peace of mind. I see no reason to spend more at the moment.

I bought this filter to put on the front of the 18-70 DX lens on my Nikon D50. It works well and protects the front element of the lens from dust, dirt, fingerprints and whatnot.
It seems to cause a little vignetting (slightly darkened corners) at extreme wide angles (~18mm) -- but from what I've seen so far it isn't terribly noticeable, 'specially for the price.

( Tiffen 67mm UV Protection Filter ) I knew it would cause reflection of lit-up areas of my picture composition and thats what its doing so i cannot blame it. I ordered another better filter for quite an expensive lens of mine alongside this one which was multicoated. From this filter you should only expect dust protection and that's it. That's enough for its cost
