Digital camera Review: Disappointing All Around

I ordered this for my husband and was very disappointed when we went to use it that it was DOA. We tried several different batteries but it was def. not working.
We returned it to Amazon only to find out that they no longer have the item available.
I won't know if it was just a fluke or a bad item because I can't exchange it.

The best feature is the large display numbers and light background. Temp readings may be just a point or two off but I haven't found one yet that reads to the precise temp. Just be sure to set the outdoor sensor in good location and don't set the indoor part near a window, heat, etc. This one is the best we've used. Great for (shall I say) older persons who may not like one that's the size of a postage stamp. Neat that you have the option of setting on a table top or mount on the wall.Digital camera Review: Does What it Says

Bought this about a month ago after getting a humidifier and needing to keep track of the humidity in the house. This does the trick and tells the temp to boot. I just opened it up put batts in followed the set up instructions and in 2 minutes it was working. I am not using the outdoor temp function so the remote sensor just stays bundled up behind the unit.Digital camera Review: Doesn't work

This item is very unreliable. I suspected the humidity readings were off because they seemed awfully low, so I finally learned a way to test it and discovered it was 8% off! That's quite a lot. An accurate hygrometer is very important to me so I can monitor the humidity in a room where I keep sensitive musical instruments. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed to purchase something that doesn't work very well. I was looking to buy a digital thermometer for my toddler's room, I did a lot of research and found the features of this thermometer matched my criteria. Features:
- Independent indoor and outdoor sensor.
- Indoor Humidity sensor
- Clock.
So far I have changed the battery only once, it lasts a long time (given you use a brand name alkaline), I would buy this again if I needed another thermometer for other room. Highly recommend it!
