Digital camera Review: 2 great ideas, bad execution

a great idea here is the card slot that effortlessly plays mpeg movies from the sd card slot, no other portable tv can really do that. the removable batteries, and the capability to dock with AA batteries is the second good idea here. everything else needs work. i sent it back mainly because i couldn't hook up the cable (no adapter) and was not able to compare it to its closest rival, the Coby, which lacked a card slot. But the Coby has a non-glare screen and fascia, while this one shines back. the Coby also has more refined software, but the usb slot here gives one hope that updates could improve that. finally, these should not be called portable, they are miniTVs, but digital signals aren't strong enough to penetrate buildings or follow a moving tuner, so every slightest movement of the TV means a reprogram could be necessary; buying a powered antenna is an absurd solution. but for a small, battery powered screen that u can hang in the kitchen for watching cooking shows off the sd card, or doing the same with kids shows, this is a great idea i would love to see developed further, but not bigger, it's big enough already. because it's not truly portable, it won't work in a hurricane emergency, which is what we needed it most for. it is also not loud enough when playing movies from the sd slot. put me on the list for the new improved model, but hurry - if sony gets into this game...
