Didn't know if it was this converter or poor signals till after the changeover. Still bad, so I ordered Zinwell ZAT based on Amazon reviews. HUGE difference. DO NOT BUY THIS TIVAX - NO RETURNS!!!!!!Digital camera Review: CAn't Manually add a channel...it must FIND IT!

After reading ALL the reviews on this model and others, I was disappointed with the channel setup and with the fact that you need a REAALLY STRONG antenna to work with this model.
The manual setup in the menu only scans new channels to add and you can't add it in yourself. Plus the channels it does find, you need to adjust the antenna for each channel (i.e. when you change channels you have to get up and move the antenna to find the best reception for that particular channel). Maybe it would work if I got the smart antenna and mounted it to my roof.....BUT...I don't want to do that I wanted to just get over the air channels with ease as it was when everything was analog. I found that it didn't find all the HD channels available as well.
Also, now I have another appliance using electricity plugged in to pay for. I am overall unhappy with this digital change.
I must say that when you do receive a channel it comes in very clearly.

The product worked fine for the first couple of weeks, however, recently it has not been picking up one local channel. It is hooked up to a high end antenna and all the trouble shooting for the box has been done. Maybe it will work itself out or maybe the box is not as good as all the reviews.
