I searched and searched some more to find a new hdtv for my kitchen. I debated over brands and read reviews. In the end I am so glad I chose this one. I am totally happy with it. The size was perfect for me. The picture and sound are great. I would recommend this tv to anyone! I might add that I have ordered quite alot from Amazon and delivery of my items has been very fast - outstanding! I love the available free shipping too.

So I was looking for a new 15" Flat Screen TV and ran the comparison programs on Amazon and 1 other...Street Buy.Com or something close to it. Came up with a Toshiba 15LV505 LCD with a built-in DVD-CD Player @ 159.00 and no Shipping from Amazon. Cool I thought. The lowest overall cost ao any others. NIB. I liked that it was a Toshiba. Renowned quality, etc. When it arrived I went through the "Setup" routine. No problems. When I put a DVD in..NOTHING. It went through the "Read" sequence and spit out the disc. Hmmmm, says I...Am I missing something here, I thought...Is there a "Setup" routine for Disc Playback?..Evidently not..A couple of extra buttons on the Remote that are not addressed in the Toshiba Manual.But they didn't trigger anything..Nothing triggered the Playback. So I called the Toshiba Help Center and the Tech listed to me and said send it in to the Depot for repair under warranty..So my Free Shipping has now been offset by a $20.00 FedEx Fee for shipping back to Mass. I am going to miss seeing the USC-Hawaii game now because of the renowned Toshiba Quality Control Program. OK, so "Stuff" happens.. This was not Amazon's fault..Strictly a Toshiba problem, sending out a bad unit..Would I use Amazon again to make a purchase? Of course. Would I buy another Toshiba product? Beautiful color! Beautiful sound! Great that you can just put a DVD in it and it starts playing--without hitting a lot of buttons. It even plays CDs!
True, it is a bit slow at switching channels. Would be nice if the screen could turn, but I guess all you need to do is to turn the the base and all--no biggie.
All in all, the good outweighs everything else. I love it and recommend it to all my friends who are looking for a smaller screen tv/dvd player. I wanted something for my kitchen and did not want one real tiny or one that could mount on the wall. I wanted something small but not tooo big, and something that would play DVDs and CDs, too. I did not need a radio or clock.
A great price too for what you get. I am a very satisfied customer!
