Excellent smallish LCD TV/dvd combo for kitchen, bedroom, or anywhere that you don't want a mammoth screen.
Terrific picture quality, easy operation, reasonable price, fast delivery time. Very happy w/ this product.

Many of the negative and lukewarm reviews for this TV focus on the sound. I have had this TV for a few weeks and would not agree that this TV is too quiet. I have it in the bedroom and can hear it just fine with the volume set on 10 (which is very low for this TV). I don't think this TV was meant to be the main TV in a large living space. In that case, I could see where the volume might not be as loud. In an average size room and away from high traffic / noisy areas, volume should not be an issue.
I currently have it hooked up to standard definition cable. The picture is not fantastic, but that is not a flaw of the TV. Standard definition always looks bad on HDTVs. The DVD picture is good.
There is only one thing that does bug me about this TV. The DVD spins loudly. You can hear it spinning with the volume down low, but the noise gets drowned out with the voulme at a moderate level. It may not bother some folks, but it is a minor annoyance for me. The DVD player was also a little fickle with one DVD, but i've yet to own a DVD player that wasn't a tad erratic.
Overall, I would say that this TV would be hard to beat for the price on Amazon. A flat panel LCD with DVD player for under $300 from a decent brand name (even if it might not be Toshiba's top of the line)is a steal. I hope it holds up, but so far I am pleased.

The picture quality, look, and size of this unit are very good. I have no issues with the sound quality as some reviewers have had. As long as the room size is appropriate for the screen size and speakers, there should be no issue. I purchased this tv for it space saving qualities. When I am a little suspect as to whether the item I received was brand new or refurbished. But the main thing that I have noticed is the horrible quality speakers. It is almost as bad as a transitor radio. I turned the sound all the way up (100%) and WAS NOT IMPRESSED!!! There was little difference from mid range to full sound. The bass and treble adjustments don't improve the sound at all. I would suggest not buying... serious thinking of returning. Bought this tv for use as a second tv that I put in my bedroom. I easily mounted the unit on the wall using VideoSecu wall mount VESA100/75-ML10B. I've only used it for playing DVDs and the image and sound are good especially for the price. Thank you for your time.
