Digital camera Review: A good deal, but not as easy to use...

I recently bought a couple of these Toshiba wireless frames as Christmas gifts for my inlaws. The purpose of buying them was so that my husband and I could regularly upload new pictures of ourselves and our new baby, and they would be able to see them instantly! It turns out that these frames only *partially* serve that purpose. The pros: very nice picture, nice-sized display screen, no problem with pixelation (as was mentioned in previous reviews), easy to use set up menu, option to view photos/ music/ videos from either online or the frame's memory (or an external memory source also), and automatic on/off feature (you can set it to turn on/off every day on a timer). The biggest con is that when you turn the frame on, or when you set the auto-on feature, it starts off by showing the promo ads. You then manually have to go in each and every time and specify from where you want the frame to access the photos. It's only one additional step, I know, but it would have been nice if you could set a default source that it automatically goes to when the frame turns on, so that you can start viewing your photos instantly rather than mucking around and having to set it up each time. I'm sure my in-laws will be able to figure it out, but it might not be the best for not-so-technically-savvy parents/ grandparents, etc. That being said, for the price, I would probably consider buying this frame again for myself just because of its versatility.
