Digital camera Review: Be aware of limitations

The first limitation I found is the size of the pictures, be aware that you'll have problems if your pictures are 2MB or bigger. In my case I like taking pictures with the highest resolution that my camera allows, and that's sometimes just above 2MB per picture, so it's an inconvenince to have to save a reduced version for the frame.
The second limitation is that the wireless capability only works with Picasa and FrameChannel. For me it's a real inconvenience to move my pictures to those websites, but at least the FrameChannel offers you a way to connect to your pictures in other websites, like Facebook, Flickr and MSN, and that's what I did.
It's also important to mention that the link between FrameChannel and MSN is not really working, and it's complicated. You need to create an RSS feed with your MSN pictures, and the format of the feed was never read properly by FrameChannel, which never answered my e-mails. I got around it by using a Beta product of MicroSoft: [...], this was able to produce an RSS feed in a proper format that FrameChannel could read, but still sometimes I get a message File Format incorrect in the frame, eventhough when it shows fine in FrameChannel, so it's not perfect. To be fair, I'd have to say that the connection to Facebook and Flickr was really easy, but I haven't been able to make the pictures display in order, even when unchecking the random option in each of the links added.
Another limitation is that you can't mix the display mode, between online and local display, it would have been a nice feature. Also I haven't been able to find a way to program the Frame to shut down itself automatically at a given time.
It's a shame most of my pictures are in MSN, and I think I'll eventually take the time to copy the pictures locally (eventhough I'll have to reduce their size), so I guess the product is Ok, but because of this complications and limitations I only give it 3 starts.
