Digital camera reviews of Toshiba DR410 1080p Upconverting Tunerless DVD Recorder

Digital camera Review: Great Price
Summary: 5 Stars

This Recorder is easy to use.My Mom needed one,and I did a lot of checking, and this recorder;for the price,is the best.To record;you have to hook it up to the cable box.The new recorder's,are not like the old ones.Buy it,and enjoy!

Digital camera Review: Great Product but Oh my goodness... that's some Instruction manual!
Summary: 4 Stars

I would have given the product a 5 star rating, but the instruction manual is over 100 pages and not clear on some issues. The recorder is an excellent product... basically a plug and go. Makes beautifuly crisp and clear recordings from my DVR and I believe the copy is better than the original if that is possible. Also makes what I think is improved copies of my ancient VHS tapes. Well worth the $$$.

Digital camera Review: Great Recorder
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a very large collection of vhs home movies and rare vhs tapes that I wanted to convert to DVD. One of the smartest moves I have ever made was to buy this recorder and not tackle this project on my computer. THIS UNIT WORKS LIKE A CHARM. I have seen what computer software (and hardware) produces, and it is, at least, double the money and produces a low quality result (such as audio not matching the video). This recorder has NEVER locked on me (like a computer), never shut down during a project (like a computer),never did something that I didn't ask it to do (like a computer), never said it needed an upgrade or needed re-booting.(Shall I go on)?
Don't get me wrong, I am somewhat of a computer geek (somewhat) and know a good bit about them. But I refuse to believe that they cannot be built to work better than they do.I cannot see for the life of me why someone would choose computer software over this.I have owned this unit for 8 months now.If you want your memories on your computer, you can do that easily, from the DVD you burn from this unit. I could keep going but, bottom line, this is a GREAT MACHINE, and for the money, you cannot beat it.

Digital camera Review: Great Recorder
Summary: 4 Stars

Own this model for a couple of years. Never had any problems recording or playing DVDs. Mine is set to record off of a cable box and also from a VCR unit. Re-recording my old VHS tapes onto blank DVDs and never had a problem. The picture quality is very good.

Digital camera Review: Great Unit-Great Price
Summary: 5 Stars

Am so pleased with this unit-have changed out of a Sony burner that is apparently decided to not find a signal from any source. This is a great option and addition to our system. We have 2 Sony DVD changers which are great space savers and play our prerecorded movies that feed through this unit. Having this single player in the system has covered the one flaw in the Sony Changers-playing 2 sided discs. All two sided disks now get played on this unit and has allowed us to reconfigure out video colection. Great Price doesn't hurt either!!! Thanks Guys!!!
