Digital camera reviews of Toshiba DVR620 DVD/VHS Recorder, Black

Digital camera Review: Bait and switch
Summary: 2 Stars

This is not the item I ordered. I wanted a newer model, but decided to keep it because it took awhile to get. It was NOT new. It was factory refurbished.
I ordered it from DISCOUNT JUNGLE though Amazon.

Digital camera Review: Basically a really good machine
Summary: 4 Stars

The unit has worked as promised. My only complaints are the display settings are hard to read from a distance and some of the programing using the remote is not intuitive.

Digital camera Review: Better imposible

Toshiba DVR620 DVD/VHS Recorder, Black
As all the products manufactured by Toshiba are of excellent quality, it is article satisfies all present requirements, I installed as soon as it in my equipment it was recognized by this one and it worked satisfactorily it waited for as it. Digital camera Review: Broke in 2 months....
Summary: 2 Stars

Bought this at the end of Dec to transfer home videos. After about 2 months, the VCR side broke and wouldn't play any tapes (i.e. continued to eject the tape). It worked great prior to going down and was very easy to use. I called Toshiba and they gave me all of the info (and shipping labels) to send it back to get repaired. So that was a real plus and really easy. It's been 3 weeks now and nothing yet. So hoping it will only be another week or two before I get it back. We'll see....

Digital camera Review: Broken as Received
Summary: 1 Stars

I have no real issues about the recorder being broken at receipt. The DVD drawer wouldn't open. The real problem was that to get it fixed Toshiba wanted us to pay to ship it back to them and they would fix it. If I wanted a refurbished player, I would have bought a refurbished player at a lower rate. Oh, and did I mention I would have to pay for the shipping? Thanks, but no thanks.

Of note, though, kudos to Amazon on the return of the player. Print out a label and send it back. Thanks, Amazon, I will keep shopping!
