Digital camera reviews of Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD PlayerDigital camera Review: Bad quality Summary: 1 Stars
It is not a next generation Hi-Definition media player it is only 1080i.On this player 720p is much better than 1080i. I was very disappointed by image quality it is almost the same as upscaled DVD. I made a big mistake that I bought it. I have to buy new one player that is TrueHD 1080p with good sound quality.
Digital camera Review: Beautiful picture! Summary: 5 Stars
This deck was very easy to install and operate. Looks nice and the picture is stunning. The setup menus are easy to follow and I was able to update the firmware by downloading and burning to a CD-R. The instructions from Toshiba were very clear and easy to follow for this process. So far the only issue I've had is trying to find the Mfg device code so I can program the operations into my cable remote but I doubt that will be hard to find (hopefully). Very happy with the purchase.
Digital camera Review: Best Bang for your Buck for HD and regular DVDs Summary: 4 Stars
Upconversion is better than any other similarly priced regular DVD player on the market including the overpriced OPPOs. Yes, the boot time is slow, but you get used to it. Bought mine for $130.
Digital camera Review: Best DVD player I've ever owned Summary: 5 Stars
I have had the HD-A2 for almost a year, and the experience has been nothing but pleasant.
It has been as reliable as can be, and gets better with every firmware release. Mine started off with 1.something. I have run every update over the included ethernet jack (internet) with no problems.
It has played every disc I've thrown at it, without a single hiccup, HD-DVD and SD-DVD.
I've been so happy with HD-DVD that I decided to step up to the next model and just ordered the HD-A35.
Digital camera Review: Best HD player for the money Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this player for 2 months now, and it has been perfect since the day I got it. I have watched over 20 HD-DVD's without a single skip/pause or issue of any kind. It also makes my old DVD's look great, better than my Oppo V971H. And don't get hung up on the 1080i/1080p issue. Any 1080P display worth owning can de-interlace the 1080i output to full 1080P. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive way to get the best in HD movies this is the player for you.
