Digital camera reviews of Toshiba REGZA 32HL67U 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTVDigital camera Review: Couldn't be any happier!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This TV was our first HDTV purchase, and we couldn't be any happier. We did a lot of research before purchasing, and found out that this TV was (by far) the best for the price. We looked for budget brands at Target and Sam's Club, but realized that the Toshiba was cheaper overall when ordered from Amazon.com. Not only did we not have to pay tax or shipping, but they even delivered it and set it up free of charge. What a deal for a great looking, and perfectly functional TV!!
By the way, Standard Def TV looks really good on this TV as well. Though it is not HD by any means, it still looks better than any tube TV's out there.
Digital camera Review: Couldn't be happier with purchase! Summary: 5 Stars
It took me a while to pull the trigger on this purchase as there are so many HDTV LCD's on the market now. I based my purchase on reviews from all over the web, and on a few visual inspections at different stores. I couldn't be happier about the purchase I ended up making. The price was great from Amazon (<$700 after shipping & tax), and the HD picture is pretty amazing. It took me a few days of playing with the settings to get what I consider the best picture, so don't despair if the picture doesn't look great out of the box.
Shipping was very fast and I actually received it 1 week before the expected delivery date.
Digital camera Review: Dead After Two Years Summary: 1 Stars
I too thought this was a good TV, paying well over $800.00 for it about two years ago. Much like others who have reviewed this product the picture suddenly went black on my set although the sound and other commands still worked.
To make a long story short I am very dissapointed with Toshiba and the costly suggestions on fixing this model so I went out and bought an LG which I love.
For now the Toshiba is serving as a very fashionable 32 inch "radio". Just a word of caution to those that might be considering this model.
Digital camera Review: Decent TV Summary: 3 Stars
I've had this TV for about four months, and it has been dependable and without bugs. The picture quality is fair. The sound quality is poor, somewhat tinny. But here are some of my other observations:
- There is a lack of sharpness to the images that is really annoying. I thought it was just my eyesight, but my old 27" CRT set in the bedroom lets me view with a crisp and sharp picture (at 10 years old!). Maybe I am too close to the Regza, but if I have to sit far from it to see the picture clearly, that sort of negates the large (for me) screen.
- The menus on this set appear as huge opaque rectangles in the center of the screen. So, when adjusting anything I must wait for the menu to time out in order to see the result of my changes. This is especially irritating when trying to set the aspect ratio. I have to keep asking myself if Brad Pitt is really that thin, or is that Lexus really that low and long. Setting the aspect ration drives me crazy!
- The colors and viewing angle are both quite good.
- The sound is tinny and slow to adjust. Oddly, for sound adjustment Toshiba does not use a menu blocking center screen.
- The remote is adequate and large enough to find easily and use in the dark.
- The television runs a lot hotter than I anticipated.
All in all, this is an OK TV. But I sure do miss my old tube set with its clear picture! I neither have nor care about HD signal. I tried this set without my aging cable box, using just the cable wire to the set, and picture quality dropped dramatically; I quickly reconnected the box.
I really can't recommend this set. I am not thrilled with it in any way, yet it is, the only word I can think of that is appropriate, ADEQUATE. I have never had a Toshiba product that worked particularly well, so I have only myself to blame for my lack of a wonderful viewing experience.
