Digital camera reviews of Transcend 16 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS16GSDHC6E

Digital camera Review: Awesome for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this memory card for my Canon SD1100is, it works great and at 8MP can hold about 1,900 pictures. If only I would have waited until they came out with the frustration-free packaging for this! That was by far the most annoying part, trying to get into the thing. Do yourself a favor and buy the one with the new packaging! --> Transcend TS8GSDHC6E 8 GB SDHC Card (SD 2.0 SPD Class 6) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] Oh, I should also add that amazon is the best place to buy any kind of memory card. I've compared prices with stores and they're always about twice as much there as on amazon. The money you can save is worth waiting a day or two to get it.

Digital camera Review: BEST VALUE FOR 8GB SDHD CARD
Summary: 5 Stars

I can't remember exactly how much I paid for this and I think it's cheaper now than it was before, but I do remember thinking what a great deal it was. I have a Canon PowerShot SD750 7.1MP Digital Elph Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver) and though it came in handy when resort hopping around Lake Tahoe, the 2GB disk I had didn't quite cut it. My fiance and I had taken a lot of pictures and video clips on the slopes and had to dump the pictures onto our macbook (thank goodness we brought it along) each day of our trip. We haven't had any concerns with this 8GB disk but now I think we're lazy about transferring the pictures to our hard-drives since we have all that room!

Digital camera Review: Be careful when using these cards for HD Video Recording
Summary: 2 Stars

I purchased a pair of these cards back in July 2009 for my Sony PMW-EX1, full-size HD Camera. I used them with an MxR Adapter and they worked wonderfully for recording hours upon hours of documentary footage. At the end April this year Digital SLR Cameras were becoming quite affordable and versatile. I purchased a Canon T2i and two more of the Transcend 16gb Class 6 cards. I was on my way to the Middle East to record a graduation and would eventually visit London.

Using the Canon T2i indoors was fine, it would of course overheat if used constantly for over 40 minutes. I shot outside one day and let the camera rest every once and awhile. It was hot out. When I finally finished shooting my camera turned off by itself. I learned the memory card had fried.

I returned back to the states and brought it to professional specialists who were unable to read the card, even through using a linux machine. I continued using my remaining cards to shoot, but began seeing overheating warnings after 30 minutes of shooting, mostly indoors.

Today I was testing out my cards and one of them would report an error after recording 2 minutes on my Sony PMW-EX1. I have a feeling these cards have low life-span and with the combination of heat and new technology, you may end up losing thousands of memories in a FLASH. Pun intended.

I would recommend spending more to save your data and back up CONSTANTLY.

Digital camera Review: Best Class 6 Out There
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this for use with my Canon Vixia HF10, and it works beautifully. If you're worried about this product, don't be. Shipped fast, and works as advertised. Can hold 2 hours, 5 minutes of footage at 17mbps, and it's surprisingly fast when you pull the footage from the camera via SDHC card.

Digital camera Review: Best Deal around
Summary: 5 Stars

Great deal! You can't go wrong with this SDHC card. Try finding an 8GB card for this price at Target or WalMart! Works great!
