THERE ARE SIX DIGITAL CAMERAS IN THE FAMILY. THE "LARGE" 2GB SD CARDS WE HAVE BEEN USING AND WERE COMPARATIVELY COSTLY A FEW YEARS AGO ARE FILLING UP. NOW WE HAVE SDHC CARDS GOING FROM 4GB TO 32GB AND SPEED CLASSES OF 2,4,& 6. WITH THESE CARDS I HAVE DOUBLED THE CAPACITY, TRIPLED THE READ/WRITE SPEED, AND PAID ABOUT A HALF OR TWO THIRDS LESS! THERE ARE PROBABLY 10 OR SO DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS WITH THESE TYPES OF FLASH MEMORY FOR SALE ON AMAZON ALONE. I HAVE YET TO SEE WHY THERE ARE LARGE PRICE VARIANCES FOR ESSENTIALLY THE SAME PRODUCT. YOU WILL PAY MORE FOR LARGER CAPACITIES AND GREATER READ/WRITE SPEEDS BUT TRANSCEND ALWAYS HAS THE BEST PRICE. THROW IN THE FREE SHIPPING, NO SALES TAX, THE SIMPLER PACKAGING OPTION AND YOU CAN CONSIDER YOURSELF A VERY SMART SHOPPER! I GOT ONE OF THESE CARDS OVER A YEAR AGO AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS. JUST ORDERED TWO MORE AND ALL IS WELL SO FAR. IF YOU WANT TO HELP THE OTHER COMPANIES PAY FOR THEIR ADVERTISING AND FANCY PACKAGING, GO FOR IT.
