Now regarding reopening the case: I had to reopen the case to apply the screen protector I just bought. It was a little tricky, but it took me no more than a minute or so to open it. Tip: use your fingernails to pry at the latches on one side of the case. The case will swing open after you open the two latches on one side of the case. Having short fingernails help.

I know a couple of people have said that this case doesn't allow them to charge their ipod with it on, but mine fits fine. The first thing I did after putting on this case was to make sure that the charger and earphones were able to fit right. I've dropped my ipod a couple of times already and the case was able to keep it from being permanently damaged. True removing is quite difficult, but not impossible. I suggest using something to pry it open, but be careful not to break the case.
The only downside that it does start to show scratches after a while, but this seems common to most clear hard cases. Even the agent18 cases show scratches and the only difference is that you pay a higher price for a product that does the same job.
Overall, this is a great product.

I bought my case by this seller and received the one in the picture. However, one of the pictures is misleading. The fourth picture from the left suggests that there is a hole in the back part of the case to leave the WiFi part of your iPod Touch exposed, supposedly to improve the signal. However, there is no hole in the back.
There is one hole on the bottom of the case for the home button, and another small one near the top of the case. I still haven't been able to figure out the purpose of that hole. I'm guessing it was meant to keep the light sensor exposed, but being a clear case, there is no need for that. All that hole really does is allow dust to enter the case and aggravate that little OCD part of you. There is also another small hole near the bottom of the case on the back. Again, I see no need for this hole, but it is there. It does not seem to serve any purpose other than to again, allow dust in.
It's not very hard to take off once you figure out how (you just slide a fingernail down the slit on each side and it pops right off), but since it has so many holes and so much dust collects under it, you'll find yourself wanting to take it out of the case a lot. This weakens the hinges on the side that holds the case together. Mine doesn't snap shut as tightly as it once did, and I've only had it for about 2-3 weeks. I'm now considering buying a good leather case (without magnets, as they can cause your iPod to malfunction) to replace this one. However, this case served it's purpose. I just wanted something decent and cheap until I could locate a better case and this did just that.
Since this is a transparent case, scratches are very noticeable. Doesn't look too nice, but makes you realize how important having a case is. This thing really protects your iPod. This case does fit the newest iPod, currently the third generation, but will NOT fit an iPhone or the first generation iPod Touch.
