Please people, get over the fact that the more expensive cables are a straight-up rip off. This cable represents value (it's cheap) and quality (sturdy build) and that's all you can ask for from a Toslink cable. 0's and 1's simply don't disappear into the ether because they're being carried in a cheap cable.

Got this to connect my TV sound to the receiver. The TV has a digital optical output and I used this cable to connect it to my home theater receiver. Free, over the air sports programming now sounds like I am sitting in the stadium! Here's the config:
1. Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified High-Definition Antenna for Off-Air HDTV Reception
2. Tripp Lite Digital Audio Cable (optical) - 6 ft ( A102-02M ) (or any other optical cable)

Not sure what optical audio cable everybody else received, but the one I received did not work. The coupling was loose, so I had to use tape to hold it into the jack. It was falling out otherwise. Even holding it in with tape, it simply did NOT work. No sound....nothing. I had to resort to using red/white audio cables instead. I'll shop for an audio optical cable that I have on another application that DOES work. What a disappointment. This cable (and a duplicate I ordered) are going in the garbage. It isn't even worth my time to try and return them. They're WAY TOO CHEAP and worthless.
