I bought the camera based on quality and purchased the cable based on price. Big oops. No luck getting this cable to work. I tried the cable with two different HDTVs and through a Denon Receiver. No signal at all. I did notice that this cable says it is HDMI 1.3 compliant. I just purchased the Sony cable which is HDMI 1.3a compliant. I read all the comments before ordering it (to use with my hdr-sr12) and thought there might be a problem specifically using it with canon camcorders. I noticed more +ive reviews than -ive and decided to order it. I just got it in mail today; tried it and it didn't work! Actually, it worked only when I tilted my camcorder. If I placed the camcorder on a flat surface, I didn't get voice or video. I will most likely return it and get a descent one.Digital camera Review: Don't order from PC Universe if the price is low

Placed my order...PC Universe seemed to be the lowest offeror at the moment. They accepted my order, but then promptly canceled it the next day with something about my credit card not going through...but I order plenty of other stuff in the same cart, from different vendors...and they didn't seem to have a problem charging the same card. Lesson...if the price seems to low to be true...it probably is.
