Im an installer and current owner of the 980. This is by far the remote ive installed and used besides maybe crestron. This software is not for everyday users and you might get it to work but you will never get the full functionality of it. I also know that URC is somewhat strict on access to there software. It would be a waste of money not to use it to its full capabilities. Buying a MX450 without using the RF function might be a better choice for some. Any questions on any URC remotes feel free to ask.
