Digital camera reviews of URC RFS200 PowerPak Bundle w/ MasterControl RF20 and PowerBlaster

Digital camera Review: Better than expected
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had the remote and powerblaster for about a month now and it has worked flawlessly. I have the components it is controlling located in a cabinet in the middle of our house and I can go anywhere on that same level and control everything as if I was right in front of them. I haven't tried going upstairs or downstairs to see if it would work but I'm pretty sure it would. I was able to get all of the components programmed in fairly easily and I have created a three macros so far and they all work perfectly.

Digital camera Review: Better that expected
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had too many remotes this is the very last one I will ever need.
It does every comand that I have programed into it, every time.
This remote has so many great features that I don't even use them all.
Don't even think twice, you can't go wrong with this one.

Digital camera Review: Bought two of these things...BIG mistake.
Summary: 1 Stars

I loved this remote so much that I bought another one for my upstairs home theater. BIG MISTAKE. The power blaster things are constantly interfering with each other; changing channels downstairs when you use one upstairs.

I should have known better if not for the documentation tricking me into thinking that its a great idea to have two of these. Here is the exact verbiage from the documentation (page 36)..."if you are fortunate enough to own more than one RF20, you'll be happy to know that you can easily copy and transfer all the setup from one RF20 to another. Just follow these easy steps..". The next page talks about how nice it is to use the (optional) power blaster with these remotes. Nowhere it warns you against not buying two of them along with the power blaster combos.

Their custormer support matter of factly told me to replace both combos with their upgraded model (MX-350) which apparently have an "addressable" power blaster station (MRF-260). The upgraded combo remote is like $250 compared to this one which you can get for around $90.

If this is not false adversting, I don't know what is.

Digital camera Review: Cabinet Tronix TV lift furniture with swivel
Summary: 5 Stars

This remote is amazing. I'm part owner of Cabinet Tronix and this remote allows us to offer a great solution for not having a bunch of different remotes and
with out having to drill a hole on the outside of the cabinet making the furniture look clean and perfect.

This remote is so much fun to use and very versitle. I recomend it to anyone who is looking for a simple beginers phase in programing a all in one remote system for the home theater.

Digital camera Review: Comfortable and precise
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got mine yesterday. I actually got the newer revision (silver instead of black in the picture). I tried using the built-in codes to program my components but had limited success. I have Sony DVD and VHS players, a Kenwood amp, and a Westinghouse TV. However, the Learning function worked perfectly. The ability to "clone" the Volume and other commands is nice since I use my Amp as the volume for all components. I really, really enjoy the ability to rename the commands in the LCD area as well as the component names. I even used the Learning feature to clone my Apple remote (for my MacBook).

The PowerBlaster works perfectly... I was blown away by how well. I didn't even need to use the attached IR cables since apparently it sends the IR signals with enough power that they must be bouncing off the door/walls of the closet. I still can't stop pointing the remote at the closet out of habit with IR remotes. Since the TV obviously isn't in the closet, I *do* need to point it at the TV, and again, the IR control for it works perfectly.

I'm very impressed not only with the functionality but with the look and feel of the device. I highly recommend!
