Digital camera reviews of URC RFS200 PowerPak Bundle w/ MasterControl RF20 and PowerBlaster

Digital camera Review: Excellent Remote
Summary: 5 Stars

We had purchased a different radio frequency remote from Logitech a few months ago and that remote hardly ever worked. It sucked! This remote works very well. Our components are in a different room and we have no problem turning them on from the family room. The remote works every time! It was time consuming to program as you have to do it all manually. After you get used to programming the remote, it is pretty easy to program. It just took a little time to figure out the macros. We would definitely recommend this to other people.

Digital camera Review: Excellent Value for the Money
Summary: 5 Stars

I got mine for about $80 w/ free shipping.

I only have one Home Theater setup in my house: Plasma, Onkyo Receiver/DVD, DishNetwork HD Dual Tuner, Dual Output.

Setup took a bit of time (you get what you pay for), I had to teach it a few buttons to get everything dialed in the exact way I wanted. Everything works.

I created Power Up/Dn, & 5 "Source Switching" macros. I can power up & down, switch from Sat to DVD, to Tuner etc.

I'm extremely happy w/ this remote and I feel that the people who bash this remote because they can't have 2 in the house or because it's hard to program aren't giving an $80 Learning RF remote with IR blasters a fair shake. Those users need to spend the $350.

Digital camera Review: Excellent Value, Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

The title is really my whole review. This remote is worth every penny. It works as good, if not better that $400+ remotes (which I have owned) and is definitely worth getting over the cheaper RF/IR remotes listed (which I also have owned). I have my entertainment center tucked away in a closet on the other side of my apartment (at least 2-3 walls), and this remote works perfectly every time. Couldn't be easier to use, and the learning feature is fantastic. I control everything from my LCD to my Blu Ray, to my Apple Computer and even my ceiling fan.
I feel like an idiot for paying ridiculous amounts of money for other fancy remotes that don't work half as well.
BUY IT!

Digital camera Review: Excellent product.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best remote I have ever owned. It is the only 1
use and controls all my devices without a problem. Takes a while
to figure out all the things this can do, but once you master it
you wont regret buying it. The best feature is the ability to memorize
up to 40 channels of favorites. The macro function is great for turning
on/off multiple devices. Almost all the text names can be changed to
your preference except the main menu. The only down side was the main
menu where devices are selected contain 2 pages. It would be nice
to be able to rename and reorder the devices so they fit on 1 page.

Digital camera Review: Excellent remote
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a A/V installer, so I have used these exact remotes extensively since I came acrossed them. I can tell you for $85, This is the best remote out there for the price if you have the time and patience to program it. Not only will it take any IR-based frequency, but the buttons are also time-sensitive so they will perform a slightly different function based on how long you hold down the button (for learning). The remote is nothing fancy to look at, but I garuantee it is far more durable than the 'fancy' looking Harmonys, Prontos, Commanders, etc., have the same functionality if not more, and actually has a simple look and feel like a REMOTE rather than a PDA. Also, unlike all the above remotes, this one comes RF equipped right out of the box. Battery life is actually pretty good, and has built in light.

Overall, this is the remote to get for just about any application - unless you are one of those people that has $500-1000 to drop on basically a stripped down PDA.
