Unbelievably easy to set up. Read the reviews about the remote not working, which I guess is a concern if you have a gigantic living room... but I don't. Couch is about 12 ft away and it works fine.
The fact that the device alone is the price it is without the remote is a wonder. The fact that IT WORKS is leaving me with a huge grin on my face.
Pair this badboy with 3-4 Amazon Basic HDMI cables (which I swear are clearer than the $25 GE cable I bought) and you're in business.
I was about to spend $30 at Target on a splitter and another $75 on cables. This, along with the cables set me back $35. What a buy!

This is my second HDMI switch...the first worked well, until it died 3 months after I bought it. This was the replacement, and I wish that I had not gotten it. First off, it did not work. I promptly emailed the company for a refund, and they informed me that I had to ship back the non-working product at MY EXPENSE. This is not fair, given it was THEIR product that did not work. If a company sells a faulty product, the consumer should not be responsible for any costs to ship it back. After three emails where the seller would not answer my question directly, I was left with the only option to send it back at my expense if I wanted a refund. Also, the person was very rude, and told me that this was the first of these EVER that hasn't worked so I was probably installing it incorrectly...I highly doubt that given 1. they sell many and I'm sure there have been non-working devices before and 2. there is NO installation with this product..it's plug and play and 3. I owned this exact switch before, so IF there were any "installation" WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY...IF THE PRODUCT DOESN'T WORK, YOU WILL BE IN TROUBLE AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR, AT BEST.Digital camera Review: Absolutely Fabulous HDMI 3to1 Device Ever!

This is the best device ever, and you can't beat the price for what all it does (and I never have to unplug, plug, unplug, etc. again). It took me 60 seconds to hook up my ROKU, Apple TV & PS3 to the main source. The most impressive part of this 3to1 HDMI switcher is the functionality of the IR remote control...as soon as the power supply of the source equipment is switched ,this switcher will respond automatically and instantly (blink of an eye). The 3x1 HDMI Switcher routes high definition video and digital audio from any one of the two sources to the display unit, which is so awesome. This may be a little too soon to review, but I just hooked this product up to my small 22" Samsung HDTV. I just recently purchased HD cable service, so the box has constant HDMI output. I assigned the cable box to slot 2. I assigned my PS3 to slot 1. This little switcher device is actually BETTER than having multiple built-in HDMI slots on your TV! Now I watch TV, and when I feel like using the PS3 I simply turn it on. The HDMI switcher automatically detects the PS3 and selects slot one! BAM! Now I'm looking at my PS3 display. All this without having to use a remote to select a different HDMI port. I'm very pleased so far. Now I just have to wait and see if this product lasts. I'll ,of course, be back to talk trash about it if it fails in the next few months.
And you have to connect the IR receiver even if you don't plan on using it. The IR jack completes the circuit to output to your TV.
**UPDATE** Day two, and the HDMI switch was having trouble transmitting picture and sound from my cable box. It keeps cutting out. However, when it connects to my PS3 it works just fine. I figured out that the cable box is not putting out enough power to operate the HDMI switch. This switch does not come with an AC adapter, but it does have a port for one, so I used a 6V adapter I had laying around and now it is working perfectly. So you may need to use an adapter as well, but they're cheap. I'm still happy with the product though.
